The top is made of opaque streaky brown, blue and beige glass with silver AA logo fixed to the center of the lid. This lid is trimmed in zinc and solder with an aged patina.
Streaky beige brown grass was used for the back of the box, complimenting the unique glass lid. Front and sides are clear glass with a flowing rippled effect that twinkles in the light. Brass feet were added to complete the heavy appearance of a treasure chest.

This box began with selecting unique patterns within hand blown cathedral glass remains from larger project. In this copper foil project, each piece of glass is wrapped with a thin adhesive backed strip of copper which serves as a base for the solder. Once wrapped, the glass pieces are soldered together. Small brass hinges are soldered to the lid and base of the jewelry box along with a safety chain is added inside the box.
